BucketMate

Introduction

Learn how BucketMate Web helps you manage S3-compatible storage from your browser

BucketMate Web is the browser version of BucketMate for managing Amazon S3 and S3-compatible storage. Use it to connect storage providers, browse buckets, upload and download files, preview objects, create share links, and organize connections into workspaces.

BucketMate Web requires the companion browser extension. The extension lets the web app send signed S3 requests directly to your storage provider without browser CORS blocking the request.

What BucketMate Web can manage

  • Storage providers: Amazon S3, Google Cloud Storage, Cloudflare R2, Backblaze B2, DigitalOcean Spaces, Wasabi, Supabase Storage, MinIO, and custom S3-compatible endpoints.
  • Connections: access keys, explicit bucket lists, optional passkey-encrypted credential storage, and browser-local saved connections.
  • Buckets: create, refresh, empty, delete, pin, hide, and search buckets.
  • Files and folders: browse hierarchy, upload files, download files and folders, create folders, rename, move, delete, preview, and inspect details.
  • URLs and sharing: copy object names, object URLs, and presigned share links with expiration.
  • Organization: workspaces, pinned connections, hidden buckets, saved bucket state, local object cache, shared link history, and custom shortcuts.
  1. Install the BucketMate browser extension.
  2. Open BucketMate Web.
  3. Confirm the extension is connected in the onboarding guide or Settings > Advance.
  4. Choose Add Connection.
  5. Select your provider.
  6. Enter a connection name, endpoint, region, access key ID, and secret access key.
  7. Add explicit bucket names if the credentials cannot list all buckets.
  8. Turn on Store as encrypted values if you want passkey-protected credentials.
  9. Use Test Connection before saving.
  10. Open a bucket and use the browser table to browse, upload, preview, copy URLs, or manage objects.
