BucketMate

Introduction

Learn how BucketMate for iOS helps you manage S3-compatible storage from your iPhone

BucketMate for iOS is a native iPhone app for managing Amazon S3 and S3-compatible storage. Use it to connect storage accounts, browse buckets and folders, upload photos and files, preview objects, save files to Photos or Files, and copy presigned share links.

Requirements

  • iPhone running iOS 17.0 or later
  • Access key ID and secret access key for your storage provider
  • Camera access, only if you want to scan a Quick Connect QR code from the Mac app

What BucketMate for iOS can do

  • Storage providers: Amazon S3, Google Cloud Storage, Cloudflare R2, Backblaze B2, DigitalOcean Spaces, Wasabi, Supabase Storage, Hetzner Object Storage, Tigris, MinIO, and any custom S3-compatible endpoint.
  • Connections: add manually, import from the Mac app with a QR code, test before saving, edit, refresh, and delete.
  • Limited permissions: enter bucket names manually or use a single-bucket endpoint when credentials cannot list buckets.
  • Buckets: sort, pin, hide, and see object count and total size for buckets with up to 1,000 objects.
  • Files and folders: browse, search the current folder, upload files and photos, create folders, rename, duplicate, and delete.
  • Preview and sharing: Quick Look preview, system share sheet, and presigned links with preset or custom expiration.
  • Downloads: save photos and videos to Photos, and export other files to Files.
  • Multi-select: share, download, or delete many items at once (Pro).
  • Settings: view mode, shared link history, file preview thumbnails (Pro), and cache management.
  1. Open BucketMate.
  2. On Connections, tap Add connection manually, or tap + in the navigation bar.
  3. Enter a Name and choose a Provider.
  4. Enter the endpoint, choose a region, and enter your credentials.
  5. Tap Test connection.
  6. Tap Connect to save and open your buckets.

If you already use BucketMate on a Mac, tap Scan QR code instead. See Connect storage.
