Introduction
Learn how BucketMate helps you manage S3-compatible storage from a native macOS app
BucketMate is a native macOS app for managing Amazon S3 and S3-compatible storage with a fast Finder-like interface. Use it to connect storage providers, browse buckets, upload and download files, preview objects, create share links, and organize storage accounts into workspaces.
What BucketMate can manage
- Storage providers: Amazon S3, Google Cloud Storage, Cloudflare R2, Backblaze B2, DigitalOcean Spaces, Wasabi, Supabase Storage, MinIO, and custom S3-compatible endpoints.
- Connections: access keys, AWS profiles, AWS SSO profiles, manual bucket lists, and single-bucket endpoints for credentials without bucket-list permission.
- Buckets: create, refresh, empty, delete, pin, hide, reorder, and search buckets.
- Files and folders: browse hierarchy, upload files and folders, download files and folders, create folders, rename, move, delete, open, and quick edit text files.
- URLs and sharing: copy object names, public URLs, custom-domain URLs, and presigned share links with expiration.
- Preview and details: inline preview, Quick Look preview, image preview, text preview, PDF preview, metadata, storage class, size, modified date, and folder metrics.
- Organization: workspaces, pinned connections, hidden buckets, custom domains, saved bucket state, and local cache.
Recommended first setup
- Install BucketMate for macOS.
- Open BucketMate and choose Add Connection.
- Select your provider.
- Enter a connection name, endpoint, region, and credentials.
- Use Test Connection before saving.
